If you think you don’t have time to meditate you need to meditate for twice as long

If you think you don’t have time to meditate you need to meditate for twice as long

This is a quote my friend and meditation guide Tim told me about years ago and I think about this often.

Sitting down to do nothing when you are overwhelmed with the amount of things you have to do feels like the hardest thing in the world but these words are true. Every time I have pushed through resistance, ignored my to do list and sat down in meditation it feels like it has expanded my time

Once I reach a state of peace what usually happens is that I realise that many things on my list aren’t urgent or even necessary or I see more efficient ways to get them done. This is because everything is subjective and meditation changes your state of consciousness

Meditation is vital to our wellness because when we tap into a state of peace we can tune into our intuition and actually sense what foods and practices our bodies are asking for.

That salad we keep making ourselves eat for lunch might seem healthy but our body might want a warm curry with gentle spices that will help our digestion.

This month I want to write about meditation because it is the foundation for wellness and next week I’ll share my favourite meditation that I start each day with!

And for the skimmers!
  • Meditation isn't another time suck to add to your to do list - it actually increases the time and space in your life
  • When you meditate you tune into your intuition which will guide you on what to do for optimal wellness
Do you meditate regularly? How do you do it? And what benefits have you noticed? Reply and let me know!
